How Wing Chun is Different than other Martial Arts
- Wing chun is practical and characterized by its natural stances, movements and explosive counter attacks.
- It is commonly held to have been developed as a women's self defense system that was created by two women so smaller individuals to be able to overcome larger, stronger individuals.
- Wing Chun is void of rituals, sport aspects and flashy movements, but seeks self preservation by using the minimum amount of energy to inflict the maximum amount of damage.
- Wing Chun practitioners are taught to attack vulnerable areas of the body that are inherently week and are the same on everyone such as the eyes, groin, throat and other areas. No amount of conditioning makes these areas invulnerable.
